Paul
Johnson and Brad Miller bagged the cans from the collection trailer. They
filled 25, 55 gal. bags.
Buffalo
was paying $.40 a lb. and Mpls. payed $.80. They earned $230.00 towards
copper sulfate.
Bruce
suggested that they crush they cans to get more in the bags. Theresa said
that she had crushed hers before she put them in.
Frank
said for Paul to use his snowmobile trailer with a tarp, rather than put
them in the back of the truck. Frank asked about the smell and Paul said
that the rain washed everything and that there is a drain on the trailer.
Jeanni suggested sending an email asking people to crush the cans first
before putting them in the trailer. Angela said she would send one out.
Jeanni
said she had seen the tiny green dots floating in the water. Mary thought it
was duck weed. Paul and Bruce confirmed that it was. They hadn't seen any
curly leaf though.
A secchi
disc reading of 14 ft. was taken on July 3rd. That seems to be a record for
July per Jim Miller. Frank said that it was bad after all of the boats
being out on the 4Th of July. Jeannie said it has calmed down since then.
Paul had taken it for a week and got a reading of 12 ft. Frank, Mary and
Theresa all confirmed being able to see the rock pile by Tabbuts house.
Theresa
got a call from Mini-Biff. We will get it booked for the party. Paul,
Frank, and their spouses will determine the details- date and location- this
weekend.
5 copper
sulfate bags were used to treat the lake on 6/21. Lonnie owes us for 1 bag.
Paul suggested buying 10 more bags. The prices are $106.00 per bag or $98/
10 bags.
Frank
suggested to move the checking to savings and then buy a 3 month CD.
Lauren
Miller, 20 yr old.granddaughter of the people that own Miller trucking, was
killed in a car accident. The Hospitality committee will send a card and
flowers. It was in the Wright Co. paper, and the Star Tribune. Parents are
Larry and Georgene Miller.

Theresa
said that Aqua Care had called her about a 2ND treatment. Jeannie said they
called her too. Paul recommended not to do it. Last year a couple people
did it and they didn't think it was that successful. Jeannie said that
everyone should be made aware of the option for a 2ND treatment. Paul said
that aqua care was calling everyone. Jeannie said that she is seeing some
growth now. Bruce said that is coon tail. Theresa said that the curly leaf
isn't bad even in the back water.
