Meeting Minutes

March 14, 2011

The meeting started with a presentation about weed treatment by Chad Hadler from Lake Restoration, Inc. He provided a handout with pricing and different strengths of chemicals his company uses for treatment. There was a question and answer session after the presentation which covered items like percentage of shoreline coverage. How the percentage of chemical used in their product compared to Midwest Aquacare. He will send us information on lakes they currently treat. Also information on what is the chemical difference in the three different levels of treatment, traditional, premium and ultra. They do not treat more than 50% of your shoreline. They do not retreat free of charge if the customer is dissatisfied. Midwest Aquacare's forms show they will treat 100% of shoreline and have retreated free of charge. After Chad left we held a vote and decided to use Midwest Aquacare this year.

Midwest Aquacare apologized for sending out the forms to residents in error. Angela is working with them to get the weed treatment set-up for 2011, and correct problems for residents who sent their forms and money to Aquacare as they requested.

Meeting Minutes from the September 2010 were available.

Jim submitted the treasurers report, the balance as of March 14th was $2,498.56.

Donna Miller had information on a lake monitoring program, we are looking into it and will have information at the April meeting.

Meeting for the summer of 2011 were set-up for the second Monday of the month. Some signed up to host at the meeting, there are still slots open for anyone interested in hosting a meeting. Dates and hosts will be posted on the website.

Meeting was adjourned around 8:30.
