Lake Martha Lake Association Meeting Minutes April 15, 2015 Jim called the April meeting to order at 7:13. Minutes from the March meeting were approved. Treasurer’s report was given and approved. Dues collected were $1480. Cash from dues and cans of $412.35 was deposited. DNR permit fee for weed treatment of $750 was paid. Balance on 4/12/2012 in checking was $994.44 and in savings was $3,161.32. 29 members are paid. 24 elected to have the curly leaf weed treatment. 5 elected to skip the first treatment and do only the second weed treatment, mainly for coontail weed. Jim is communicating with Aquacare for best time to do first treatment. Clear water was discussed again. Copper sulfate was applied only once last year. May meeting date was set for Sunday May 20th at Chad and Rachael Kugler’s at 7:00pm. The June meeting is Sunday June 24th at Jim and Angela Miller’s at 7:00pm. Jim gave the COLA update. We have turned in our dues of $25. We need two representatives from Lake Martha. The representatives are Theresa Witstine, Jim and Angela Miller. The next meeting is Sat. May 5th. Joe from Wright County Soil and Water gives a report at the end of the year COLA meeting, ranking lakes in Wright County. Julie is sending out E-mails for updating the phone list for Lake Martha. The phone list may not be completed for the May Meeting. Area residents had items stolen from unlocked cars and garages over the Easter weekend. Police reports were filed and Police have been seen patrolling the neighborhood. Thefts like these seem to happen every few years. Meeting was adjourned at 7:32. |
