Lake Martha Improvement Association

The Meeting is Tuesday, June 14th at 7:00pm.  The current plan is to meet at the middle of the lake, anyone needing a lift out to the middle go out to your dock to get picked up. If weather is not permitting, we will meet at the Witstine's at 7426 9th St SE.

 Lake Martha Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, June 14^th 2016

Theresa called the meeting to order 7:15pm

Meeting on the lake was moved due to rain.

Members attending: Dave Tabbut, Jim Miller, Carolyn Boroughs, and John and Theresa Witstine.

March minutes and Treasurer report was given.

Theresa will send out notice for July 4^th boat parade.

Theresa will schedule planning meeting for picnic. Carolyn will join committee.

Jim reported secchi disk reading for May was 19 feet.

Theresa work with Chris Jurek at DNR for permit to treat curly leaf weed beyond 100 feet from shore. This permit is free and Dave suggested we do the treatment with product from Lawn care. Randy Latzig from Lawn Care spoke about that option at the March meeting in 2015.

Weed treatment permit was issued for 50% shore frontage this year for first and second treatment,  the information we received from Audrey Kuchinski at DNR was that would be the norm in the future. That is the reason for looking into treatment out past the 100 foot we currently do.

Dan Neadue is the new contact person at Wright Soil and Water.
