New Business:

-        Letter from soil and water that there is money available from the state to treat.  We don’t have a project big enough to qualify for funds.

Proposed Member Project:  (early detection of the zebra mussel infestation)

o   Volunteers would hang a  brick from their docks and monitor 1 time a week and 1 person from our lake would get training and train us what to look for.  Since it is a DNR program we send them that information.  This could help find zebra mussels.  Theresa would look into further about next steps and have been collecting bricks.

-        There was discussion to possibly do the $1,500 plant survey every other year

People discussed treatments done to the lake in the past

-        From late fall of 2000 to spring of 2001 we treated the bottom of the lake with magnetite to capture some of the accumulated phosphorus from the sediments that had accumulated over the years.

-        Mentioned that across Co. Rd 33 the University of Minnesota and Wright Soil and Water Conservation District  installed a "Minnesota Filter" to capture Phosphorus from farm watershed before entering our lake.
