Weed Treatment:

-          Cancelled by Midwest Aquacare. The DNR did not see curly leaf and "would be like dumping treatment on the road", 2nd treatment can be taken.

-          Theresa mentioned that she is seeing some curly leaf on the East / North side of the lake.  Theresa suggested we pool money and have north side treated.  It was noted that we can only treat a certain percentage of the lake.  No decision on this suggestion.

-          Nancy Halagan asked if we can get a listing of those that have opted for the option of the 2nd treatment.  Angela said Jim and herself can clarify if those who signed up for the first treatment are automatically signed up for the second treatment

New Business:

-          Lake Association Picnic with meeting prior to picnic

o        Bill asked about plans for the lake association picnic.

o        Date was decided on August 23rd

o        Current committee members include Sue, Theresa and Angela, but are looking for other volunteers.

-          How to handle inquiries regarding the lake association via email.

o        Group discussed and suggested everyone is welcome to participate in the lake association meetings to assist in decision making / bring up any concerns they may have.

o        Other suggestion was for any emails to officers to respond with a standard letter inviting/encouraging those to come to the next meeting to convey their concerns.

o        Not sending out meeting minutes, they will be posted on the website.

-          Nancy H. brought up the suggestion of researching the feasibility of a LID (Lake Improvement District).  Basically a form of government subservient to county government or DNR generally to manage invasive plant and animals with shared costs by affected residents.  No official decision was made, it was suggested that John W. research this option.
